Will hold multiple cards

Visa may have given Google its approval to use the company’s payment system for its Google Wallet?service, but that doesn’t mean the company doesn’t have plans of its own.
Steve Perry, commercial director for Visa Europe, has confirmed that Visa is planning on launching its own virtual wallet system in August / September 2012.

Clarkson and Stig modes

TomTom has released a special edition of its Go Live 820 satnav that ties in with the BBC’s hugely successful Top Gear. The TomTom Go Live Top Gear Edition features a Stig mode, directions read by Jeremy Clarkson, and points of interest related to the TV show, including race tracks.
Stig mode, as you can imagine, simply mutes the directions completely (he doesn’t speak in the TV series, see what they did there?), whereas Clarkson will no doubt spend much of the time whinging about roadworks and speed …

EXCLUSIVE: Shock move

Pocket-lint has just learnt that the Samsung Unpacked 2011 event due to happen on 11 October in San Diego has been canned. And the planned unveiling of both Android Ice Cream Sandwich and the Samsung Nexus Prime is not going ahead.
We have received the following combined statement: “Samsung and Google decide to postpone the new product announcement at CTIA Fall. We agree that it is just not the right time to announce a new product. New date and venue will be shortly announced.”

UPDATE: Event pulled by Samsung and Google

Although all the signs have been pointing that way, Pocket-lint has conclusively and exclusively learnt from a trusted source that Samsung Mobile will be announcing the Google Nexus Prime handset (aka Galaxy Nexus) at its Unpacked 2011 event in San Diego on 11 October – and that it will come jam-packed with the latest version of Android; Ice Cream Sandwich.
In addition, Greek website DigitalLife has posted a picture that it claims to be the Nexus Prime, and as it’s the same site that nailed …

On top of all the leaks and news coming out about the Samsung Nexus Prime, Romanian website mobilissimo.ro now claims to have been sent an exclusive hands-on video with the new device.
The unnamed source has also sent the site several screengrabs, which they claim to have been taken from the forthcoming handset, which show Google’s new version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, in action.
