TV service provider Virgin Media has struck a deal with Sky that allows its customers access to the satellite broadcaster’s content on demand, without the need for a Sky subscription. Shows like the Steven Spielberg-produced Terra Nova, Glee and An Idiot Abroad 2 are now available through the newly titled Sky Anytime on Virgin Media.
Additionally, the content on offer includes HD programming, where available (and if a customer has an appropriate set-top-box), and is gleaned from all of the Sky channels currently available on Virgin Media.

It shapes up nicely

A Google has decided to jazz up its homepage with a Gumby-inspired Google doodle, celebrating Gumby creator Art Clokey’s 90th birthday.
Clokey, who died in 2010, may not be well known outside the USA – well we hadn’t heard of him anyway – however the Detroit-born animator shot to fame for his creation Gumby; the star of the Gumby show.

Asus has announced the Zenbook, a slim and sexy Ultrabook. We’d seen the Zenbook UX31 Ultrabook previously, but have now seen both, together, to marvel at their slick design.?

Apple’s iCloud.com website has gone live, offering access to the company’s new cloud portal. However, unless you have iOS 5 or Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2 you won’t be able to sign up yet.
iCloud offers 5GB of storage for several applications, including iTunes, Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Photo Stream, and can be accessed from any iOS device (as long as it has iOS 5), a Mac or a PC. Additionally,?you can opt to pay ?14 per year for 10GB, ?28 for 20GB or ?70 for 50GB.

No iTunes Match for UK

Apple has released iTunes 10.5 on Tuesday night allowing millions of Apple iPhone users the chance to get ready for the iOS 5 update rollout on Wednesday.
The new update adds a number of features besides allowing you load up your iPhone with Apple’s new mobile operating system iOS 5.

BlackBerry maker RIM has issued a statement as to why its users in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and other parts of the world have struggled with email browsing, and using BBM over the last two days.?
