Dance fever

“I can’t dance” sang Phil Collins in the ’90s. He’s not the only one, because here at Pocket-lint, we’re quite famous for having the exact opposite of snake hips. Probably something like elephant hips.?Sadly, with Dance Central 2 likely to be a hugely popular game with those who can, and do, dance, we thought it only fair to have a go. ?
On the plus side, being so?useless?on in the “throwing shapes”?category, we’re well-placed to look at the game and discover how enjoyable it is for those not blessed with …

Just beat it

We’ve seen a trend in 2011 that we didn’t really see in previous years: the “update phone”. HTC kicked off 2011 with a wide range of “S” models and we’ve had “plus” models from Motorola and Samsung. The pace of change sees Android manufacturers clamouring to update their hardware almost as soon as the phone hit the shelves.
So where does that leave the Sensation XE? It isn’t a new phone, but is it any more than an incremental step-up? Does HTC’s Beats acquisition really bring anything to …

Tiny, but mighty

When it comes to making video where other cameras dare not tread, there is one leader. It’s the GoPro HD Hero. Everything from gnarly extreme sports types right up to TV production companies make use of this tiny little camcorder.
While it’s not especially new, we thought it was worth treating you to a review now, as a new model has been launched and the older, but still utterly brilliant HD Hero, is now a lot cheaper. We’ll touch on what the new model brings a little later, but …

BOOM!

Modern Warfare 3 is, in some ways, a bit like buying a Spice Girls album, in that, no matter how cool you think you are, it’s impossible not to sing along. This is what Call of Duty is, gaming fun in its purest form. There is nothing complicated about it, you stick the disc in, let it spin up and hold that right trigger down, blasting your way to the end.?
The game marks the finale in what has been one serious rollercoaster ride across the globe for ?ber soldiers Soap …

The lens reach is stretched, but so the price

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 is the new flagship model in Panasonic’s FZ range of superzoom bridge cameras. It replaces the FZ100 and comes hot on the heels of the cheaper, but very similarly specified, FZ48.
For ?120 more than the latter we find a camera with a vari-angle (adjustable) LCD screen, a definite advantage for those low or high angle shots when you can’t easily otherwise get an eye level. It uses a 460k dot, 3-inch screen but there’s also a lower …

Return to form

There is a reason this review is slightly late. For years the blue hedgehog has been on a downward spiral of gaming drossdom. This led us to believe Sonic Generations would be like any other game in the Sonic series. As such, we weren’t in a huge rush to play it.?
As such we ignored the game, let it drift on into the sunset with all the other Christmas build-up releases. For Sonic fans such as ourselves this was difficult. We were Sega kids, growing up with that iconic …

We’re converted

November might seem an odd month to review a convertible. But having served up one of the dullest summers ever, the good old British weather decided it was time for one of the warmest Octobers on record. As we write, this shows little sign of changing.
So, in celebration of the fact that the official start of winter last Sunday was welcomed in with wall-to-wall sunshine in the UK, (and with apologies to American readers sitting under a blanket of snow) now is actually the perfect time to review Germany’s …
